Bon Vendredi! Happy Friday!

The warm weather allowed us to enjoy outdoor activities again, despite the occasional big water puddles and wet boots!

Kindness Week was a huge success, with many students participating in the Kindness Bingo and posing for the "Be the 'I' in Kind" photo. Wednesday's assembly was a sea of pink, and special thanks go to Mme. Bretton, Mme. Katie, and Mme. Ingrid’s classes for their engaging presentations.

Thursday's "Dress Like a Teacher" day showcased our students' creativity and brought a lot of fun to the school.

Learn and Share – School Planning

We know we make better decisions to support student learning when we build understanding and work together. That’s why we are asking you to share your perspectives about our school development plan, school budget and school fees.

  • The survey is open from Wednesday February 19 to Friday March 14.
  • Please click here to complete the survey.

Your input is important to us, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your perspectives.

Grade 5-6 Outdoor School Information Meeting

We are inviting families of Grade 5-6 students to an upcoming Outdoor School information meeting. Currently, we're planning to meet on March 12 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. However, due to recent CBE guidelines regarding after-school activities during the CUPE job action, we may need to adjust the format or timing of this meeting. Please stay tuned for further updates.

Wellness in Action and Option Friday

Our next Wellness in Action and Options Friday is scheduled for March 7. Building on the rich learning experiences from our previous session, we'll continue with the same model to provide diverse and engaging activities for our students.

Mois de la Francophonie

March marks Mois de la Francophonie in Alberta, and we’re excited to continue celebrating this important event at Chinook Park with all of our students! From March 10 to 21, students will take part in a variety of activities that highlight and celebrate French language and culture. Festivities will include school assemblies, engaging classroom activities, an outdoor Carnaval, la tire d'érable (maple taffy) treat, and a special presentation.

As in previous years, Carnaval is our biggest event and wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing parent volunteers! This year’s celebration will take place on March 12. If you’re able to lend a hand, please sign up using the link below—we’d love to have you join the fun!
