Thank you to our School Council for organizing the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. We appreciate all the delicious food and the lovely flowers. A special thank you to Amber and her team for the set-up and to all the families who provided many food varieties!
This week multiple classes had a great time attending exciting programs at Heritage Park. Students had great learning experiences and a lot of fun. More field trips to come.
Most of you might have already known that Ms. Poole has accepted an Acting Principal position at Evergreen School for the next few weeks. This is an exciting professional opportunity for Ms. Poole, and she will be a great asset to Evergreen School in this short-term position. In the meantime, we are happy to announce that Ms. Kelly Galvin will be deployed to take on the role of Assistant Principal at École Chinook Park School during this time. Ms. Galvin has demonstrated strong and effective leadership throughout her role as a Resource Learning Leader at École Janet Johnston School. Ms. Galvin and I will ensure a smooth transition for staff and students. We would like to welcome Galvin and wish all the best to Ms. Poole as she experiences a new role and responsibilities! If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Galvin, kmgalvin@cbe.ab.ca.
Dual Language Books and Parent Library
We are pleased to announce that with the support of the parent council we were able to purchase dual language books. We have put them up for display next to our parent library. Thanks again, School Council for your support with this initiative!

Save the date for the Spring Concert!
Our spring concert will be on May 2 and will feature our grades 4/5 and 6 French, 5/6 English.
DELF
Our grade 6 French Immersion students will write the DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française) exams on Thursday, April 18. This is a great opportunity for our students, and we know that they will nail it. Good Luck ECPS students!
School Council Messages
School Council Meeting
Join us at our school council meeting next Wednesday April 17 at 6:30pm in person or online where we will have two special guests present to parents: Nancy Close, our School Board Trustee and Marlene Krickhan, Principal of Woodman Junior High School. You are welcome to join to listen to the latest updates. Come with your burning questions for Nancy and Marlene!
Casino Update
Thank you to everyone that has signed up for the casino! We still have some spots to fill and not much time left. The casino is an “all or nothing” commitment: so, it’s important we’re able to fill all the spots.
The casino funds are the biggest financial contributor to cover non-core learning expenses. Your time directly contributes to enriching our student experience. Please sign up through Sign Up Genius!
