Bon Vendredi!

Happy Friday!

Hard to believe, but this is final weekly message of the year! Many students and staff have joined us throughout the year, and it is with mixed emotions that we must say goodbye to some of our school community. We have some students leaving us for their designated schools of Elboya or Rideau Park, having been overflowed to us earlier in the year. We had several new staff join us at various points this year and although we would love to keep them all, it will not be possible. We will share these changes in our closing summer message.

Here is our current organizational plan for 2024-25. Please note that this could change with any significant shifts in enrollment or staffing changes over the summer.

From our amazing School Council who support learning and enrichment opportunities to the volunteers who make field trips and special events possible, we appreciate you! Enjoy a safe, rejuvenating and happy summer and we look forward to welcoming students back to school on Thursday, August 29!

Assessment & Reporting

Our staff have been working diligently over the past few weeks to finalize report cards for students. If your child has an Individual Program Plan, please make sure the signature page is returned as soon as possible. On June 26, report cards will be able to be viewed online via your MyCBE account. If you are having difficulty accessing this account, please let the office know as soon as possible.

Sports Day – June 25

We are having our annual Sports Day on June 25 from 8:45– 11:30 A.M.

The forecast looks good – not too hot and not raining, so come on out and support our super-fun sports day! It’s not too late! There are several more opportunities for volunteering at a station.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered or helped to organize our many school council activities and events this year. Through the continued support of this amazing school community we have been able to provide many experiences and learning enhancements for the students, educational opportunities for parents, and to show our appreciation for the incredible teachers and staff at Chinook Park School.

We have a few School Council roles that we will need to fill in the Fall. If you are interested in learning more about the vacant roles please email chinookparkchair@gmail.com
