Bon Vendredi! Happy Friday!

We’re beginning this message with a big thank you to our amazing parent community for organizing our staff potluck. It was a wonderful gesture that truly lifted spirits—staff felt appreciated, and it was a great reminder of the strong and supportive community we have here at Chinook Park!

We had some exciting learning opportunities last week! Mme Katie’s Grade 3 class visited their grandfriends at Mayfair Care Centre, and both M. Hewitt and Mme Katie took part in Aggie Days—thank you for creating these experiences for our students.

To wrap up Manie Musicale, classes gathered in the gym to cheer on their favorite songs! Students across both programs participated in the voting, and we saw some of the highest class engagement yet! A big thank you to Mme. Sarah for all of her work on this!

On a different note, we would like to share that Ms. Gibson is away on medical leave for the time being. We wish her a prompt recovery and ask that her privacy be respected during this time. In the meantime, we are pleased to welcome Mme. Rachel, who will be stepping in to teach music to our 530 students! She’s already connecting with classes and planning for a smooth and engaging transition, with music, fun, and assessments all part of the mix.

It is important for families to complete these soon as the school needs the funds to pay the provider.
