Bon Vendredi!
Happy Friday!
We had another great week at our school!
A big congratulations to our Grade 4 students for completing the PIRLS assessments. They did a great job, and it was a valuable experience for them to take part in this type of assessment setting. We are very proud of their effort and focus.
The after‑school dance on Thursday was so much fun! A huge thank you to Erika, the dance committee and all volonteers for all of the work that went into organizing this event. It is always a great event and was clearly enjoyed by all.
Today, teachers also participated in important systemwide CBE professional learning day, Maatoomsii’Pookaiks, on foundational knowledge of Indigenous ways of being, belonging, doing and knowing. This learning supports our ongoing commitment to truth and reconciliation.
We are excited to welcome back Mme Corine to Kindergarten on Monday. A heartfelt thank you to Mme Rachel for stepping in and supporting our Kindergarten students over the past little while.
Chinook Park Art Update – Calling for Helping Hands!
We are still in need of volunteers to help prepare our mural wall.
If you have experience, tools, or can lend a hand on April 28-30 after school for an hour or two, please email Mme Danielle if you are able to help. dagodbout@cbe.ab.ca
Artist in Residence
We are very excited to be on our last week of lessons with our artist Natalia Ionescu before she used their ideas and inspiration to start our murals. Students are working on creating their own illustrations using their brainstormed ideas around Bloom, Hope and Community.
We are very excited to reveal the new community art piece in mid-May.
Spring Music Showcase
