Bon Vendredi! Happy Friday!
We had a vibrant and engaging week at Chinook Park! Our Grade 5-6 students embarked on an enriching outdoor education experience at Camp Chief Hector from Tuesday to Thursday.
Friday, students in 5-6 also concluded their first round of options, having explored Foods, Design Technology, Engineering, and Art. We're excited to introduce Sport Performance as an additional option in our next semester, starting in two weeks.
A heartfelt thank you to our School Council for the new front foyer furniture. This addition enhances our welcoming environment and will be enjoyed by all.
Grade 5-6 Outdoor Education Field Trip – Final Message
Grade 5 and 6 students had an amazing week at Outdoor School in Kananaskis, with great views, weather and company. Students and staff explored and learned together to create lasting memories. Students participated in a variety of activities such as shelter building, fire building, challenge course, hikes, campfire songs, the economy game, predator and prey and many other games. Students fostered their sense of leadership, teamwork and independence during these 3 days away. We eagerly look forward to returning.
Attached are photos of some items left behind. If they belong to your child, please collect them at school.
Grade 3-6 School Concert Update
We regret to inform you that the Grade 3 to 6 concert, originally scheduled for May, has been cancelled. We have been able fortunate to welcome Ms. Rachel to support our music program on a day-to-day basis where students continue to enjoy music in their regular scheduled time. Coming in to a new position and planning for a concert in this short amount of time is not possible. Students continue to be actively engaged in many enriching experiences—such as Outdoor School, Science School, Stampede Ranch, and our ongoing Options and Wellness Fridays. Thank you for your understanding, and we invite you to join us at our School Council meeting this Wednesday if you'd like to connect further or share thoughts.
