Bon Vendredi! Happy Friday!
This week was full of exciting activities for our students! The Grade 4-5 French Immersion classes had a fantastic trip to Telus Spark, where they explored interactive exhibits and participated in hands-on science activities. Meanwhile, Ms. Craig and Ms. Walker’s classes had fun on their visit to the Mayfair Nursing Home. The students had a great time carpet bowling with their “grandfriends,” bringing smiles to everyone involved.
Many of our students also embraced the snowy and sometime cold weather this week by trying out snowshoeing—a fun and active way to enjoy the outdoors!
It was also great to connect with so many families during our Parent-Teacher Conferences over the past couple of days. Thank you for taking the time to meet with teachers and discuss your child’s learning journey.
A big thank you as well to Mme Angeline and her team of parent volunteers for running a successful Book Fair fundraiser during the conferences. Your hard work and dedication are so appreciated!
Winter Concert – The Great Cookie Exchange
ECPS’s winter concert will be held on Thursday, December 12th featuring our Kindergarten to Grade 2 English and Kindergarten to Grade 3 French classes. The other classes will be featured in a spring concert.
We will be hosting two evening concerts to be able to accommodate all our families. Please refer to the table of which classes will participate in which concert.
Seating is at a premium; we ask that only TWO family members attend the evening show. Other family members are welcome to attend the daytime dress rehearsal.
To limit disruptions, please stay for the entirety of the concert. Also, all students will be part of the finale.

Holiday Food Drive
This holiday season our school will be participating in the Calgary Food Bank – Mayor's 36th Annual Food Drive. From November 27 through December 13, we will be collecting nonperishable food items, as well as monetary donations (made directly online) for Calgary families.
Students may bring items to their classrooms, as well, there will be a drop off box outside the school office.
Online donations: www.calgaryfoodbank.com/mayorsfooddrive
“An exciting event within the Mayor’s annual campaign is the Councilor's Challenge! The challenge is between each of the 14 Wards to raise funds and food for the Calgary Food Bank. By bringing together all Councilors and their Ward we are amplifying our voices and presenting a united front to support the community.”
Thank you for your generosity!
Parking Safety Reminder
Calgary Police Services have been monitoring school pickup and drop-off zones recently and may choose to visit our grounds in the coming weeks. To ensure the safety of all students and families, please be mindful of the following:
- Do not park in bus zones.
- Refrain from parking in front of private driveways.
- Be cautious around the crosswalk in the back alley to ensure pedestrians are safe.
- Avoid idling your vehicle for extended periods.
- Do not park or drop off students in the staff parking lot.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone!
