Bon Vendredi! Happy Friday!

This week marked the start of our Thursday lunch break clubs and intramurals, offering students a variety of activities across seven different spaces! It was wonderful to see so many students engaged and enjoying themselves. Groups will change in January, with new choices available for February and March to keep things fresh and exciting.

As the balmy weather continues into next week, please keep an eye on changing conditions and help your child dress accordingly. Warmer days often mean jackets left behind at recess, so we kindly ask that you label items like coats, mittens, and hoodies to ensure they make their way back to their owners.

Lost and found

Please visit the Lost and Found before Friday, December 13th, as all remaining items will be donated to Good Will. Any items with names will be returned to students to the best of our ability.

Winter Concert – The Great Cookie Exchange

ECPS’s winter concert will be held on Thursday, December 12th featuring our Kindergarten to Grade 2 English and Kindergarten to Grade 3 French classes. The other classes will be featured in a spring concert.

We will be hosting two evening concerts to be able to accommodate all our families. Please refer to the table of which classes will participate in which concert.

Seating is at a premium; we ask that only TWO family members attend the evening show. Other family members are welcome to attend the daytime dress rehearsal.

To limit disruptions, please stay for the entirety of the concert. Also, all students will be part of the finale.

Lastly, the concert is part of the students’ extracurricular activities and is not optional. If your child is unable to attend, please inform your child’s teacher of the absence and the reason.

Holiday Food Drive

This holiday season our school is participating in the Calgary Food Bank – Mayor's 36th Annual Food Drive. From November 27 through December 13, we will be collecting nonperishable food items, as well as monetary donations (made directly online) for Calgary families.

Students may bring items to their classrooms, as well, there will be a drop off box outside the school office.

Online donations: www.calgaryfoodbank.com/mayorsfooddrive

“An exciting event within the Mayor’s annual campaign is the Councilor's Challenge! The challenge is between each of the 14 Wards to raise funds and food for the Calgary Food Bank. By bringing together all Councilors and their Ward we are amplifying our voices and presenting a united front to support the community.”

Thank you for your generosity!
