Happy Friday, 

We’ve had a full and productive week back together, and it’s hard to believe that fall break is already around the corner. This week was highlighted by our Remembrance Day assembly, where students showed great respect and maturity. It was a solemn and meaningful moment, and we’re proud of how well our students represented our school community. 

Student Patrollers

Our Chinook Park student patrollers will begin their duties on Wednesday, November 13. They will be out supporting students and families at the crosswalk from 7:45 a.m. and again at 2:30 p.m. 

Please help keep everyone safe by following their instructions when using the crosswalk. 

A big thank you to our patrollers for taking on this important leadership role and helping keep our school community safe! 

Jacket Racket Calgary 

Our school will be participating in the Calgary Jacket Racket donation collection From November 3-14^th. Please bring clean and gently used jackets, snow pants, boots, mittens, gloves, tuques and/or scarves to the front office. All child or adult sizes are accepted.  

We are looking a few parent volunteers to help sort, bag and drop the donations off at the Jacket Racket depot in the SE on Wednesday November 19^th from 10am to 12pm. If you have a vehicle and are able to volunteer, please email Mme Danielle: dagodbout@cbe.ab.ca

Photo retakes 

Photo retakes are November 26^th for students who would like retakes or did not get their photo taken.  

Grade 6 Immunizations 

Please note that Grade 6 immunizations have been rescheduled to Thursday, December 12th. Public Health Nurses will be at the school on that day to administer vaccines for students whose families have returned the consent form. 

Apparel Store 

This fall we have NEW, fun exciting colours and accessories! Don’t wait! These items will not be available again in the Spring. The Chinook Park school apparel store will remain open until November 16^th. 

The orders from September will begin to be delivered on the week of the 17th. Any new orders will be a few weeks later.

Fun Lunch Fundraiser 

Chinook Park School will again be holding a monthly “Fun Lunch” where families can order lunch for their child from a local restaurant through Healthy Hunger. 

Ordering is optional and must be done in advance through the Healthy Hunger website (school name: Chinook Park). Orders close the Friday before each Fun Lunch date.
