Bon Vendredi! Happy Friday!
It may have been a short week, but it was still full of exciting learning and celebrations at Chinook Park! One of the highlights was our Grades 4-6 students visiting the Astrodome in the gym. This experience brought some of their curricular outcomes to life with a hands-on, interactive presentation led by a professional. It was a great opportunity for students to explore and deepen their learning in an exciting way.
Many classes also took time to celebrate Valentine’s Day, sharing kind messages and enjoying some fun activities together.
Wishing everyone a wonderful long weekend and a happy Family Day! We hope you have a chance to relax and enjoy time with loved ones.

Kindness week
This week, we are kicking off Random Acts of Kindness Week / La semaine de la gentillesse, and we’ll be continuing to celebrate kindness throughout the rest of February! Students are being recognized for their acts of kindness, and each week, some of these kind-hearted actions will be entered into a draw for a special surprise prize.
Additionally, students will be bringing home a Kindness Bingo sheet. We encourage families to support their children in completing the activities. Any student who returns a completed bingo sheet will be entered into a draw for a Chinook Park Pink T-shirt at the end of the month.
We will wrap up our kindness celebrations with a short assembly on Wednesday, February 26th, in recognition of Pink Shirt Day. This will be a time to reflect on the importance of kindness and inclusivity in our school community. Thank you for your support in making Chinook Park a welcoming and caring place for everyone!
