Bon Vendredi,

Happy Friday,

We had a fun and productive full week at school. Our teachers are hard at work writing report cards, which will be available for families at the end of the month. It was lovely to finish the week with Wellness Friday for our younger learners and Options for our older students. Wellness activities were a lot of fun. Thank you to all the teachers who helped make this possible, and a special thank‑you to our parent volunteers. We look forward to two more Wellness sessions in the coming months. Our older learners also wrapped up their first semester of Options and will begin a new set of courses in March. Looking ahead, next week is Teacher Convention, an important professional learning opportunity for staff so there is no school on Thursday and Friday.

Alberta Education & Childcare Assurance Survey

Thank you to all the Grade 4 families who have already taken part in the Alberta Education and Childcare Assurance Survey. So far, 14 out of 67 codes have been used—already more participation than last year! Let’s keep the momentum going and see how close we can get to 100% by the end of the month. Your voices truly help shape our school community.

CBC Music Class Challenge

Gr 4/5 classes will participate in the CBC Music Class Challenge with Mrs. Postchaman. Students are excited about learning Miteh, a new choral piece written by Sheryl Sewepagaham, a composer/singer from Cree Nations in Alberta, commissioned by CBC. Their recording, along with those from classes across Canada, will be submitted for a chance to win!
