It’s been wonderful to see our students back in the building after the winter break! The energy and excitement in the classrooms have been fantastic, and we’re looking forward to a great start to 2026. 


Information Session

Next week, we’re hosting our Open House on Thursday, January 15th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. This is a great opportunity for families considering Chinook Park School to learn more about our programs. The evening will have a special focus on the benefits of learning a second language and our French Immersion program, but everyone is welcome! If you know friends or neighbors with children who will be starting school soon, please spread the word and invite them to join us. 

 

Kindergarten Registration for 2026-27 

Registering your child for school is an exciting milestone for many families! Starting January 12 2026, kindergarten registration will be open online for the 2026-27 school year. For children to be eligible to register and attend kindergarten next school year, they must turn five years old on or before Dec. 31, 2026.  

 

Winter weather reminder 

With the colder temperatures, please ensure students come dressed for the weather. When the wind chill drops below -20°C, outdoor time is limited. On these days, we may adjust recess schedules or organize alternate indoor activities. Our team works to make indoor time engaging by setting up spaces for movement and collaborative play. Thank you for helping keep students comfortable and ready for learning!
