Bon Vendredi!

Happy Friday!

It was a great week at school, even with the warm temperatures keeping us on our toes! Our Grade 6 students did an outstanding job completing their English Language Arts PAT writing pieces. Well done to all of them for their focus and effort.

We were also excited for our Grade 6s to visit Woodman as part of their transition planning, and to see our Grade 2 French Immersion students enjoy their trip to Granary Road. It’s been wonderful to see so much learning happening both in and out of the classroom.

School Council - Thank You

Last Wednesday marked our final School Council meeting of the year. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to our executive members, as well as all of the parents who joined and contributed throughout the year. Your time, voice, and commitment are truly appreciated.

We are grateful for the work you have done to help build strong connections and meaningful conversations between families and schools. Your ongoing support of activities such as the school dance and picnics along with your efforts in fundraising, organizing staff appreciation lunches and school apparel, has had a positive impact across our community.

Thanks to your thoughtful allocation of funds, we were able to support a variety of initiatives this year, including Francophonie Month activities, our Artist in Residence program, Jump Math, music resources, physical education equipment, multilingual literacy books and technology.

It was great to see so many new parents get involved this year, bringing fresh ideas and energy to the group. Thank you again for everything you do to support École Chinook Park School.

We are very fortunate to have such an engaged and supportive community!

Year-End Picnic

We are excited to share that our Year-End Picnic will take place on June 15!

This year, we’re especially looking forward to having food trucks join us, which will add to the fun and festive atmosphere for our school community.

More information will be shared next week. Stay tuned!

Planning 2026-27

In the upcoming weeks, students will have an opportunity to share their perspectives on classmates they feel they work well with. This student voice is an important part of our thoughtful and balanced class placement process. Teachers are guiding these conversations conversations carefully, helping students reflect on positive learning relationships and make respectful, productive choices.

Parents/guardians are welcome to share any academic considerations that may support their child’s learning, if needed. Please email the principal, Mr. Comeau, by June 15 if you would like to provide input.

Thank you for your continued support and collaboration!
