Bon Vendredi! Happy Friday! 

We had another great week at École Chinook Park filled with energy, connection, and celebration! Wednesday’s year-end picnic was a wonderful highlight—it was so nice to see so many families come together, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. A big thank you to our School Council for organizing this event. That same day, Shane Cunningham and his team led engaging Indigenous games for all students, creating a joyful and active experience. We also celebrated our French Immersion kindergarten classed on Thursday with their end-of-year event, and we look forward to celebrating with our English kindergarten class this coming Tuesday. 

Early Dismissal on Thursday 

A reminder that Thursday, June 27 is our last day of school, with an early dismissal at 12:01 p.m. Bus service will run following our regular Friday early dismissal schedule. Please ensure pickup arrangements reflect this change. 

Sports Day

Grade 6 Provincial Achievement Tests 

We are proud to share that our Grade 6 students have now completed their Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs)! This year's assessments included several firsts, with some exams based on new curriculum content and the introduction of online software for writing. Our students rose to the challenge with focus and perseverance—we’re incredibly proud of their hard work and adaptability throughout this process. Way to go, Grade 6! 

Important: 2025-2026 School Bus Registration 

We’ve received an update from CBE Transportation regarding bus service for the next school year. Currently, 298 Chinook Park students are eligible for transportation, but only 74 registrations have been received so far. 

To help ensure transportation is available for all who need it, please complete your child’s transportation registration by June 22 through your MyCBE account. Registering before the deadline is essential for accurate route planning and bus allocation. 

Grade 6 Celebration 

We are excited to celebrate our Grade 6 students on Monday, June 23! Immediate families of Grade 6 students are welcome to attend, starting with the assembly in the gym. Here’s a quick look at the plan for the day: 

• 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. – Grade 6 student lunch 
• 12:45 – 1:15 p.m. – Assembly in the gym 
• 1:15 – 2:15 p.m. – Celebration in the courtyard
