Bon Vendredi!

Happy Friday!

We had a wonderful week at school filled with exciting activities as we continued to celebrate le Mois de la Francophonie. We kicked things off on Monday with a school-wide assembly, where it was inspiring to see students representing multiple countries where French is spoken and celebrated.

Wintery conditions created the perfect backdrop for our Carnaval, where fresh snow and mild temperatures made outdoor activities a joy. Students had an absolute blast, and we are incredibly grateful to all our parent volunteers whose support helped make the day such a success. We were also thrilled to welcome Bonhomme, who travelled all the way from Québec to visit our classrooms and spread some Carnaval cheer. To end the week on a sweet note, our Friday French bistro featured delicious maple syrup crêpes, and our Grade 1–2 French classes proudly celebrated their 100th day of school on Thursday.

Teacher Appreciation

To show our appreciation for our wonderful staff, we are organizing a Teacher Appreciation Potluck Lunch on Friday, April 10, 2026, for all Chinook Park School staff.

We invite families to sign up to bring a home-cooked or store-bought dish, snack, or dessert to help create a special lunch for our teachers and support staff. Items can be dropped off at the school (front doors) between 8:00 and 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10, and lunch will be served for approximately 25 staff members at 12:00 p.m.

We know how hard our staff work every day to support our students and our school community, and this potluck is a simple way for us to say “thank you” and make their day a little brighter.
