Swimming Trip
Thank you everyone who returned the signed field trip forms. If you have not, please do so before the field trip to ensure your child’s participation. The first Swimming trip is on the week of May 27 and the second one is on the week of June 17.
We are calling for volunteers to join us at the swimming pool to ensure that our students are assisted in the change rooms, during transitions and for overall supervision during their presence in the pool. If you have a police clearance, please sign into one of the following links:
- May Swimming at Canyon Meadows: For Mr. Davis, M. Mathieu, M. Hewitt, Mme. Austin Mr. Orr, Mme MacLean, Mme McCurdy
- June Swimming at Canyon Meadows: For Ms. Blakely, Ms. Bowd, Ms. Weiker, Ms. Lam, Ms. Walker, Ms. Willie, Mr. Morand, Ms. Carrier.
- June Swimming at Glenmore Pool: for Mme Linda, Mme Isabelle, Mme Sarah, Mme Erin, Mme Julia, Mme Wendy.
If you still do not have a police clearance, please complete the online form under your parent's account. If you need help, please feel free to contact the office. Police Clearance may take up to two weeks before you are able to volunteer. Please check this link.
Grade 6 Provincial Achievement Tests
Our grade 6 French Immersion students wrote their French Language Arts Part A on May 14. Great work grade 6s!
Grade 6 students in French Immersion will write their FLA Part B exam on Wednesday, June 12. Students in both French and English programs will write Social studies PAT on June 19 and Science on June 20.

Fundraiser - Farewell & Legacy Project - Last chance to order!
Please help the Grade 6 class fundraise for their Farewell & Legacy Project by buying popcorn. The bags are vacuum sealed and will last for 2 months so you can stock up. Orders need to be placed by tonight, Friday May 17, 2024 at 11:59PM. The popcorn will be given to your child in school on May 22.
You can also make an additional donation to the fundraiser if you wish to do so. Thank you for supporting our Grade 6 students!
Kindergarten students can also order popcorn. To place an order, please register your student(s) on the Healthy Hunger website at HealthyHunger using the attached information sheet. Healthy Hunger How to Sign Up Once you have completed your registration you will be able to view this event. The school to register for is "Chinook Park".
Grade 7 Options
This Tuesday, staff and students from Woodman will visit our grade 6s to talk about options for grade 7. Students will then be able to select their preferences for next year.

School Council Meeting May 29
May 29 will be our last School Council meeting and we will have a special guest, Dr. Caroline Buzanko who will share information about emotional well-being in the Online Era.
