Bon Vendredi,

Happy Friday,

We’ve had a full and busy week, with the fluctuating weather keeping everyone on their toes. A big thank-you to our student patrollers for the excellent job they continue to do each day—please remember to wait for their signal before crossing the street to help keep everyone safe. We also wrapped up the week with our Options and Wellness Friday, which brought lots of movement, energy, and fun throughout the school. Our next Options and Wellness day will be on December 5.

We are also looking forward to welcoming families for conferences this week. Thank you in advance for taking the time to connect with teachers and partner with us in supporting student learning.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on Thursday, Nov. 27, from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm and Friday, Nov. 28, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The School Conference Manager opened for booking on Thursday.  Please access it through your MyCBE

Lockdown Practice

We will be holding our first lockdown drill of the year this Tuesday, in partnership with Calgary Police Services. Each Calgary school completes two lockdown practices each year to ensure students and staff are familiar with our safety procedures.

Reminder

There is no school for Kindergarten this Thursday.

Winter Concert

ECPS’s winter concert will be held on Thursday, December 18th featuring our Kindergarten to Grade 3/4 English and Kindergarten to Grade 3 French classes.

We will be hosting two evening concerts to be able to accommodate all our families at 5:30 and 6:45 pm. We will share next week which classes we participate in which concert.

Seating is at a premium; we ask that only TWO family members attend the evening show. Other family members are welcome to attend the daytime dress rehearsal.

It is our priority that division 2 students participate in a concert this year, however with the disruptions, they require more time to learn instruments. They are currently learning the ukulele and handbells.

Scholastic Book Fair

It's Book Fair Time!

This year, our Scholastic Book Fair will be open not only during Parent-Teacher Interviews but also for students to purchase books during class time on:

  • Thursday, November 27th 8:30-2:30Shape

The Book Fair will also be open for families during interview times:

  • Thursday, November 27th — 3:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, November 28th — 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Please note: Book Fair hours differ slightly from Parent-Teacher Interview times.
