ECPS Weekly - October 23 to 27

Happy Friday!

Bon Vendredi!

A lot of classes took advantage of the lovely weather to spend time outside last week. It might be a while until we have this opportunity again with the upcoming snow!

Next week, some of our groups will experience some changes to their Music and Physical Education schedules. These changes were necessary to accommodate our increasing population. All students will continue to receive daily physical education and music instruction two to three times a week. We will be providing additional details at our Wednesday October 25th School Council Meeting.

A big thank you to everybody who donated to our School Pantry and Jacket Racket. We greatly appreciate your generosity and support for our school community!

Halloween Activities

We are looking forward to having some Halloween fun again this year on Tuesday, October 31!

Costume and parade

On the 31st, students are welcome to come dressed in their Halloween costumes. A friendly reminder that some of our staff get scared easily and so do some of our younger students, so please keep weapons or gory accessories at home.

Parents/guardians are invited to a whole school costume parade at 12:45pm. If you want to attend, please come in through the office entrance and we will gather in the gym to cheer on our students!

Great pumpkin contest

In keeping up with this yearly ECPS tradition, all families are invited to participate in our pumpkin carving contest again this year. Please see more information on our website: Link

Picture Retake Day
Lifetouch will be at Chinook Park School on October 26 for picture retakes. If you would like your student to have their picture retaken or if they missed the picture day on Sept. 21, please notify the classroom teacher and send an email with the student's name to Chinookpark@cbe.ab.ca

Patrollers

Monday October 23, we will start with patrols before and after school. As this will be our first week, please be patient with our patrollers.  When arriving at school, please wait until you hear “proceed” before walking through the crosswalk.

Grade 6 students in Patrol with a morning shift should arrive at the school at 7:40am. Grade 6 Students with an afternoon shift will be finished at around 2:50pm.

Lost and Found

Our lost and found is almost full. Please take a moment to pop by the lost and found if your child has misplaced any clothing items.
