Bon vendredi!

Happy Friday!

This week, our entire school came together for a meaningful Truth and Reconciliation assembly led by our Grade 2 students. We are very proud of the wonderful job they did in guiding our learning and reflection. On Wednesday, students and families were invited to take time to reflect on Truth and Reconciliation and continue important conversations about respect, understanding, and reconciliation. We finished the week well with a fantastic Terry Fox Run! Thank you to Mme. Sarah and Mme. Chelsea for organizing and to all the families who came out to cheer on our students! We look forward to sharing the total amount raised with our school community in the coming days.

Jacket Racket

Our school will be participating in the Calgary Jacket Racket donation collection from October 5-23. Please bring clean and gently used jackets, snow pants, boots, mittens, gloves, tuques and/or scarves to the front office. All child or adult sizes are accepted.

We are looking a few parent volunteers to help sort, bag and drop the donations off at the Jacket Racket depot in the SE on Monday, October 26th between 10am to 12pm. If you have a vehicle and are able to volunteer, please email Mme Danielle dagodbout@cbe.ab.ca

Let’s help keep Calgary families warm this winter!

Knowledge Keeper Visit

We are excited to welcome the indigenous knowledge keeper, Skip Wolfleg on Friday, October 9. During his visit, he will spend time with our students, sharing his knowledge and helping deepen our learning and understanding of Indigenous perspectives. Skip will also meet with our staff to help guide our planning for the year ahead, supporting our ongoing commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. We look forward to learning together and building meaningful connections through his visit.

Message Walking field trip

Each year, we update our walking distance field trip permission letter so that classes can take advantage of the many learning opportunities available within walking distance of our school without the need to send home and collect individual permission forms for each outing.

Staff will continue to communicate with families at least 48 hours in advance of any planned walking field trip.

Please find attached the 2026-2027 Walking Distance Field Trip Permission Form for your review.

Message from school council

Chinook Park Apparel Store

We are proud to unveil our new apparel design, created from the ideas and inspiration shared by students during our Artist in Residence project in April last year. Student voices played an important role in shaping both our school mural and this logo, which reflects the creativity, diversity, and strong sense of belonging that define our community.
