Bon Vendredi,

Happy Friday,

Although this was a short three-day week, it was filled with meaningful activities and learning opportunities.

On Tuesday, there was no school as Canadians recognized the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We hope this was a day for reflection and meaningful time together with family.

This week, class photos were sent home. Please take a look in backpacks if you haven’t had a chance yet.

Our Grade 4 and 5 students also had some wonderful learning experiences. They explored the Weaselhead on a field trip, discovering the natural beauty close to home, and they participated in an online presentation in French with Parks Canada from Banff.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Job Action

School is closed Monday due to labour action. Check the CBE labour action page for updates.

Terry Fox Donations

Thank you to all our Chinook Park families for your generous donations to the Terry Fox Run. Together, we raised 1050.25$ to support cancer research through the Terry Fox Foundation. Your contributions are greatly appreciated and help keep Terry’s legacy alive. Thank you for making this year’s event a success!

Message from School Council

Casino Fundraisong

We know the timing of this couldn’t be worse but at some point, the storm will blow over. And, when that happens, we’ll be grateful for the funds through the casino.

We desperately need to fill the following slots:

2 people from 10pm-3:30am on Monday night.

4 people from 6:45pm-3:30am on Tuesday night.

Ecole Chinook park: Casino Fundraiser Volunteer Signup - 2025

Council members can fill some of these slots but not all. If you can, please do sign up. Note that we can arrange for transportation should that be required.

Thanks in advance!

Council Meetings

As the teachers are key members in council, we’ll be postponing the council meetings until the contract issues are resolved.

All the best,

Bien à vous,
