Bon Vendredi,

Happy Friday,

It was great to see families in the building Thursday evening for Meet the Teacher Night. The school had a wonderful energy, and it was clear how much students and parents enjoyed connecting with their teachers!

This week was also full of fun as we did daily welcome back activities that helped bring our school together. We also had our first fire drill practice of the year Thursday and it went very smoothly. Students were calm, respectful, and safe both on their way outside and as they returned inside.

Picture day

All students will be photographed on Monday, September 15. Please notify your teacher if you do not want an individual picture taken of your child. All students will be included in a group class picture.

Lifetouch will send picture proofs home a few days after Picture Day. You will be able to review and purchase your pictures on mylifetouch.ca

Welcome Back Picnic

Join us for a welcome back picnic on Wednesday, Sept 17 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM in the field beside the school. Bring a blanket and a picnic and we will have a cold treat for the kids. All family members are welcome. This will also be a chance to meet the school administration and the School Council Executive. While we love your furry friends, please note that pets are not allowed on school grounds during this event.

School Council Needs Your Help!

The Ecole Chinook Park School Council a number of events, programs and initiatives throughout the year that enhance student experiences and build a strong sense of community around the school. In order to put on all of these great programs and events, we rely entirely on volunteers from the school community.

This year we are looking to fill most of our executive positions on School Council as well as some volunteers to lead individual events and committees. If you are interested in volunteering or are curious about what might be involved, please reach out to Dom Puglia, current School Council Chair at chinookparkchair@gmail.com
