Bon Vendredi,
Happy Friday,

It was nice to reconnect with so many families during Thursday’s School Council Picnic! The weather and a great turnout. We are off to a great start in learning, with many classes planning field trips, buddy activities and outdoor learning experiences to enhance our curricular outcomes.

Lots of nice smiles on Thursday for our picture day! M. Comeau was also smiling on Wednesday when all of the students sang him happy birthday in the hallways.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Terry Fox Run today.  There was just too much rain which is a safety concern. We have rescheduled this event for Tuesday 1:30 pm (9:45 for AM Kindergarten).

Message from the City of Calgary

Kingsland Park: Phase 1 Engagement

The City conducted a Summer Park pilot or “pop-up” in Kingsland to:

  • create a new community space to play, socialize, relax, and gather for all ages and abilities,
  • act on community suggestions from the Heritage Local Area Plan, “to enhance and improve civic facilities, parks, open spaces and natural areas”, and
  • explore innovative methods to better utilize Calgary’s public spaces.

We want to hear what you think about the pilot and future improvements to the park!

Please share your thoughts online from Sept 16 to Oct 14, 2024 at engage.calgary.ca/kingslandpark

or, meet the project team on Sunday, September 29 from 1-4p.m. in the park.

The City will use this feedback to inform future activities in Kingsland and in other Calgary neighborhoods.
