Bon Vendredi! 

Happy Friday!   

It was great to welcome so many families into the school over the past two days for Parent‑Teacher Conferences. Thank you for taking the time to meet with teachers, ask thoughtful questions, and partner with us in supporting your children’s learning and well‑being. These conversations are so valuable, and it was great to see our school filled with families. 

This week we also concluded our Mois de la Francophonie, where students participated in several fun and meaningful activities. Franco‑Folie was a highlight of the week, with students enjoying music, movement, and celebrations of French language and culture. Students continued to vote for their favorite french songs daily during Manie Musical and showed enthusiasm dressing up for journée bucheron and in green earlier in the week! 

As we head into Spring Break next week, we wish all of our families a safe, restful, and enjoyable break. We hope you have time to relax, recharge, and enjoy time together.  

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday March 30!

Message from School Council 

Fun Snack 

Soon after our return from Spring Break, Wednesday April 1, will be our next "Fun Snack" fundraising event, provided by Booster Juice. The last day to order is Friday, March 27th, the website automatically cuts orders off at 11:59pm. We have no capacity to accept late orders. As this is an afternoon event, this is for Grades 1-6, and the PM Kindergarten class. AM Kindergarteners: please do not order for this event, as the smoothies will not arrive until the afternoon, when you've already gone home! 

If you would like to place an order, please register your student(s) on the Healthy Hunger website at https://healthyhunger.ca/index.php. Once you have completed your registration you will be able to view this event and the order form. Please note that the school to register for is "Chinook Park”.  

The order form also provides the option of making an additional donation to the fundraiser. If you wish to do so, select “Additional Donation to BB4CK Program / School Council Funds” to donate in $1 increments.  

These specific donations, which we are currently short for our school, are used towards purchasing every student supported by the Brown Bag 4 Kids Calgary Program a meal, and remaining funds will be added to our School Council Funds.  

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to help these events run smoothly- to assure students receive their lunches in a timely manner. If you already have approved security clearance through our school and wish to volunteer, click the below link:

Teacher Appreciation 

To show our appreciation for our wonderful staff, we are organizing a Teacher Appreciation Potluck Lunch on Friday, April 10, 2026, for all Chinook Park School staff.  

We invite families to sign up to bring a home-cooked or store-bought dish, snack, or dessert to help create a special lunch for our teachers and support staff. Items can be dropped off at the school (front doors) between 8:00 and 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10, and lunch will be served for approximately 25 staff members at 12:00 p.m.  

We know how hard our staff work every day to support our students and our school community, and this potluck is a simple way for us to say “thank you” and make their day a little brighter.

Please remember: 

• All items must be nut-free (no peanuts or tree nuts).  
• Label your item and any dish that needs to be returned.  
• Please include your child’s name and room number on the label to help with returning dishes.
